Close Encounters

When I first began work on this video I was a little reluctant to post it to my channel because most of my content is based on metal detecting and I figured my subscribers would thumb their nose at the video. I took the chance anyway because I wanted to point out some of the really fascinating experiences I come across from time to time and this was one of them. If you haven't seen it you can click here to view it.

You Want To Go Where? (The Story Behind The Cows)

Click to watch the video
The story behind this video is a bit frustrating, liberating, and funny at the same time. The cows drove me crazy! They wouldn't leave me alone.

The World's Largest Viaduct is Located in Maryland.

Old photo of the Thomas Viaduct in Maryland
The title of this post is a fact. If you head to Maryland Department of Nature Resources reference to this bridge, it will tell you everything that I could post here. However, I'll give you a different view from my perspective.

Finding a Lost Mining Town

Inside a collapsed coke oven
If you came from watching my video "Finding a Lost Mining Town" you made it to the right place. If you didn't and stumbled into my blog and want to watch the videos, these links will take you back to my YouTube channel (Day 1 and Day 2).

Now that you watched both videos, I can really give you more of details that a few minutes of video can't really describe. I grew up in a small town in northern PA in a county called Cameron. Coal mining was a big industry during the late 1800s for this area. I didn't know anything about it until a few years ago and it blows my mind away just thinking about it.

Visiting a Dynamite Factory From Long Ago

Climax back the day 1890-1907
I grew up in a small town called Emporium located in North Central PA. As a kid, I spent a lot time roaming what we call the "Endless Mountains" of Cameron County. When you are a kid you really don't pay too much attention to brick walls that stand in the middle of the forest or that pile of bricks covered by moss just laying in the middle of nowhere but maybe I should have.
