Great Location Discovered But Crappy Laws Loom Over It!

I'm irritated at the state parks here in Maryland but should I be? We all know the issues and the reasons why they don't let us detect in most parks anymore but its still annoying.
Take my latest video as a perfect example. I decided to start scouting around for new areas to detect in the spring and I stumbled into this sweet spot full of old foundations from an old homestead or something. This is an area where I've done plenty of fishing over the years but I never ventured too far from the water so I never knew those old stone foundations were there so I got pretty excited when I found them. The excitement didn't last long once I read the rules and regulations of the area I was in. "NO METAL DETECTING" is what it said on board posted near the parking area. I'm sure some Jack Ass came along, at some point in the past and dug up the place which basically ruined it for the rest of us but the parks still annoy me with their reluctance to bend the rules a bit especially for those of us who respect the property and detect the right way. I doubt they will ever remove the restriction but I'm still going to approach the park service in a respectable manner and see what they say. Hell I'll even bring them a detector to help me!

Anyway, you can see those old foundations that will probably never hear the beep of a detector due to the Maryland laws...so sad. Click here for the link back to the video.
